Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone! This is our view of the famous ball drop in Times Square. We were about 12 blocks away. People were crowding in from 3pm ish. And it was snowing!

Tick that off the bucket list :)

Today we went out on a bus tour of downtown New York, which was pretty interesting. We were on top of a big double decker bus which made it pretty freezing. The tour took us around all of the major downtown attractions.
Pretty confusing map?
Times Square.
The Empire State building.
They have some pretty amazing old buildings here.
Donald Trump's house.

M&M world was fun.

It's amazing how busy it is here. You can't put your arm out without hitting 5 people in Times Square. And cold - looks like snow on the forecast and a high of -1 tomorrow. Gonna be a chilly New Years.

They're gone!

Hey everyone, thanks for all your comments. Greg and Stacey are now in a new non-smoking room, and are going to go and explore New York. They have left me in charge!

Party time!

Not so hot

Well we arrived in NY at about 1130 local time, and didn't get to our hotel until about 12:30 am. Then the fun started. Turns out the only room they had was a smoking room. Greg got pretty annoyed with the guy, and they are moving us to a non-smoking room this morning. But this place is a bit of a dive. Guess we'll be spending more time outside.

Anyway here's a few more photo's from Vancouver.
Here is another shot from up Grouse Mountain on Christmas day.
Greg and the Quatchi he rescued from Grouse Mountain. He's not a toy!
Some police on Horses. Quite a sight.
I salute you!

Well today we just shopped and it was chaotic. There was literally lines going into stores and you were rubbing shoulders with someone in most stores. We did however have a good spend. Stacey got a jacket, 2 tops and 2 pairs of shoes and greg got a nice jacket aswell. It has been very cold today too.

Greg had to buy a stupid little toy yesterday and now it taken over.

This is a random car parked up the street with random toys and crap glued all over it and it has a parking ticket.

Christmas Day!

Christmas day we went for a day on Grouse Mountain, about 10 minutes out of town. There was some pretty nice powder, and it was pretty crowded. We spent most of the day skiing, but also went ice skating, and also a bit of just looking around the mountain.

Some of the appropriate footwear we saw. This was taken about 2 seconds before they ended up on their bums.
Stacey was awesome at ice skating!
Greg needed the kiddie helper thing to start with. But then...
Greg managed to stand up all by himself!
Christmas dinner! But the view made up for it.
